Overcoming Key Challenges

A hopeful vision only matters if it can survive contact with reality.

Luminism has to answer hard questions about participation, scale, and defense.

This section covers some of the most important ones:

  • how to prevent fake participation and capture
  • how to scale coordination without making it expensive or exclusionary
  • how to defend open systems against attacks, coercion, and abuse

These are not side issues. They are part of the design.

The goal is not to pretend these problems are solved. The goal is to show that they can be approached clearly, practically, and without giving up on the larger vision.
